Lovely drive in the sunshine today. The main reason being to try the 4/4 since I fitted a new battery. I also took the old battery to our local recycling centre. Stanley caused a bit of a stir, with most of the lads, who work there, coming over for a chat. One of them owns an “oily rag” Austin A30, so a kindred spirit. Car is now in my garage In readiness for the monthly Fossilmog breakfast at Powderham Castle tomorrow morning.

Always useful allies to make.

Drove my 4/4 "Poppy" to the workshop for a complete new upholstery! It takes about 4 weeks the man said, so perhaps in may I can fully enjoy again.

Beaut morning. Will be yellow car to Malvern again today You drove past me about 2.45 this afternoon - I was walking along Pickersleigh Road towards Barnard's Green. Am staying here: https://www.thehanleyswaninn.com- a bit over 115 miles from home, and a great drive with the roof off and mostly blue sky. Factory tour tomorrow...

Hi Jon, On my way home! Finished my tour, had a chat to Ian (Wirewheel) then Steve (SBM) appeared, so even longer chat. Good craic, as usual! See you tomorrow, though I'm taking the 10:00 tour. Every tour in the morning is double handed - something like 185 have booked in total, across 5 (I think) tours.

Oh yes! Early start to pick up tlLB and get to Powderham for 9 this morning. Misty over the Exe and near empty roads, but it’s developed into a glorious sunny day. Good turnout for the monthly Fossils breakfast. I can thoroughly recommend the cafe at Powderham Castle. Most of the produce is sourced from the estate farm. However, by the time it came to drive home, the traffic had built up, so a bit of a crawl at times.

Foggy run to Malvern this morning. Nice sunny trip home. Ruddy MAMILs everywhere - twice had to take avoiding action due to oncoming traffic overtaking them where said traffic did not have a clear view. Otherwise a great day at the "Office"

Very pleasant run out to Belvoir Castle this afternoon.
Fortunately very few MAMILs on my chosen route.
