Thanks for the feedback. Mintex brake lubricant was used.(ceratec)
I've ordered some mintex rubber anti squeal shims & some new spring clips. But can not source any pins.
Mintex tell me that their FIT shims are not required for the MLB52 pads. Ceratec, is supposed to be better than old fashioned copperslip & is safe on brake rubber, like dust seals on rear cyls Personally I prefer genuine Ferodo pads, very good 'fit' and never had issues with squeal

Unfortunately Uncle Melvyn can not source the pins either. I wonder if I can get them from the factory, but am not desperate, just thought I'd replace old with new, all round to try & cure squeal.

As Caparo went Kaput some time ago, it could be a struggle, even for the factory, but worth a call. I think pins for the earlier lockhead calipers, which use the same pads were more of a split-pin design, but wouldn’t want to mix and match where brakes are concerned. I know these things drive you nuts, but don’t think new pins will make any difference at all. May be just as well to be patient, let them bed in gently for a couple of hundred miles and then if no better, apply the legendary Italian tune up?

Finally managed to get new pins from the factory via Melvyn Rutgers. Applied mintex stick on shims, used ceratec on Contact points/edges, new pins & springs.
Fingers crossed squealing gone & braking 100% better.

They are made by mintex. Stick them on dry. Ceratec just on the contact points. I also put a bit around the new pins & on the spring Contact points. None required on the pistons. Done 500 hundred miles since & over all very good. Yesterday in the very wet braking was good.

Thanks for that. I mentioned 3M because when looking at Mintex shims on ebay, the photo of them shows the backing paper with 3M printed on it. So no doubt made by Mintex but using raw material sourced from 3M.
