Are they coming up to mot time ? Emissions? Watch this space, mine is booked for an MoT in a weeks time. I will report back. Good luck Paul. My plus 8 always struggles to get through the emissions test.

I agree about the rack comments although spare wheel by itself looks fine. Have to say that red with the black wheels doesn't suit this model IMHO. Same colour on my Roadster but the stainless wires somehow balance the black elsewhere.

Looks like the private sale red one is priced so as to undercut the dealership prices of 62k and 63k at Rutters and Williams. The Krazy Horse one was originally 65k as I recall but now reduced - perhaps due to the high mileage on that one. There was one in Sweden recently at 67k so prices looking pretty robust to me.
Mine's also up for MOT now with MMC advising that the handbrake will need to be broken down & lubricated and pads de-glazed. MMC also recommending adjusting the slip joint on the cat' in order to get the car through the emissions test. I'm told this will be an annual adjustment with the sensible advice being that the car have the MOT done at the same time as the annual service.
I'm told that some ARP4's have already been through and passed their first MOT at the factory and I see that the blue one (Ian?) has also passed though I don't know whether this was factory or dealership. Would be useful to know which dealers have been passing them and what tinkering was needed as my impression is that each dealer is having to start from scratch when working out what works are needed to get these cars through. Anybody heard anything else?

My car (Kingfisher Blue "Morag") has been through the the MOT process via the factory. Needed a conventional front number plate and a bit of tweaking before and after to sort the emissions. No problem with the handbrake but they had used my car as something of a test bed for fixing that at the outset.

With regard to the handbrake, I have found the only thing that really improves it noticeably is to lengthen the bottom of the handbrake lever, the hidden part inside the transmission tunnel, to increase the leverage. It is still not great and would certainly not stop the car if used as an emergency brake, but does now hold the car on a hill, especially if the brake pedal is depressed whilst the h/b is pulled up.
My MoT is due at the end of the week, so we'll see what happens.
