Can I fit caparo self ajusting rear brakes, this includes back plate, drums,shoes, from a plus 4 to my 1986 4/4 Thanks

It may not be as easy as you think, I suspect your 86 has a Salisbury axle. Later cars have a BTR, so there will be differences in the backplates. You'll only really find out if you try.

Also the hand brake actuation is completely different, so you would have to change the linkage as well.

Additionally the self adjusting system does not actually work optimally.
I have got much better results from the manual adjustment than I could ever achieve with the later system. As an added bonus the former is simpler to dismantle.
Perhaps the only plus point is that the handbrake actuation does away with the "spear" mounting that can puncture the fuel tank under extreme deformation.

Thank You for your comments, I think I will stick with my existing rear brakes for now, maybe it was me being lazy, the original brakes doesn't take long to adjust
