I have the stage 2 with the roller rockers. Not sure if they made a performance difference however they are works of art if nothing else. If you are going to do them I would do them while you are doing the cams. I did it after the cams were in and was kinda a bad idea.

I'm interested to know why you think it's a bad idea to do them separately? I removed and replaced my standard rocker arms (and cylinder heads) when changing out the lifter (tappet) housings from black to polished, and it was very simple and straightforward to replace the rockers. If you do not rotate the engine to be "off lobe" or zero lift during each rocker install I suppose you could find it difficult to tighten down the pivot stud against the valve spring pressure.

What size Commander 2's are best, the 100/90-19 or 110/90-19?

The Michelin Commander II size that some have used is 110/90 B19-62H. They were not very easy to get hold of a couple of months ago. Some have used Pirelli Night Dragons, they may be easier to get hold of and are similar to the Michelins. You will need to recalibrate the speedo and the figure you will be after is about 004400.

For the roller rockers you likely have to file some aluminum off for proper clearance of the rods. If the engine is apart for the cams it is easier to make sure you get all the filings as you have full access to the top and bottom. It is easy to file the edge just a bit messy.

Are you referring to filing of the rocker pivot mounts? Or perhaps filing of the pushrod opening in the head? I see in the S&S catalog that the roller rocker kit includes new pushrods, but I also see the stock length pushrods work with any cam. So are the new pushrods included with the roller rockers physically different (longer or thicker) in some way to cause a clearance issue?

You have to file the top edge of the pushrod openings as the angle the pushrods travel are slightly different. If the factory machined the top edge of the pushrod opening a little nicer you would not need to file. You are really just rounding the edge. Not hard to do just have to be very careful with the filing and shove rags down the holes and vacuum them out, using q-tips and blow a lot of air to make sure it was perfect. By the way I am not even sure you have to file them but I wanted to make sure the clearance was all good. It was very close. I attached the roller rockers manual below. https://assetcloud.roccommerce.net/files/_sscycle/6/8/5/510-0041_billetalumraxwedge_20120215.pdf
