I agree with Andy G. Depends how You use Your Morgan. I am often in the Drivers Seat 8 to 10 hours, I want it quiet as possible. I also live in a Very Quiet Neighborhood with a long Hill I must climb to exit. Noise is not my friend.
I have Librands manifolds. I have tried both rear and side exhausts over the years on my +8. Used to get blow back of exhaust fumes sometimes with rear pipes so switched back to side exits 10 years ago. Made sure the boxes on both sides have a decent amount of wadding and I have no noise problems whilst driving, often in the car all day crossing Europe.

I converted both 4/4 and +8 to side exhaust with removed silencers, best sound ever and I drove the +8 8000 miles on Morgans Over America with no noise issues for me. Can't hear my wife now but that's a blessing

Presumably the exhust would exit on the right in the UK to avoid spraying pedestrians with exhust gas but if the vehicle was registered in Europe would it exit on the other side?
