Rob, How did you find the new Vredesteins? Were you on Contis before?

I've got to change soon and the T Trac is at the top of my list at the moment.

Hi Bob

Early days yet as Ive not covered many miles yet. The reason for changing form the original Contis was that they were 8 years old although they still had 5/6 mm of tread left.

I've only been out for 2 drives, one on damp and the other dry roads. Initial thoughts were that the car seemed more 'planted' with better grip but the tyres aren't 'run in' yet so I haven't pressed on too hard yet. Ride seemed a little improved and knowing I have new tyres I do feel more confident in the handling and braking of the car.

Overall I'm very pleased with The Vredesteins especially as there are some great prices around at the moment. I'm sure they will be much better in the wet although I don't intentionally use the car in the rain.

Appearance wise the TTrac2's have a much different look to the Contis. Although the same size & profile, for some reason the T Trac2's seem chunkier and more purposeful looking. The other difference is that the T Trac's have a swirl effect on the sidewall which I quite like but some would say that the Contis have a more classic appearance.

For four tyres for £200.00 fitted they are a bit of a bargain in my book and its a no brainer to buy some.

Hope this helps!

Went for a nice 45 mile trip over Blubberhouses, back up the A59 to Skipton and then back home via Ilkley.

Roof down, wrapped up well and was plenty warm enough.

All this in celebration of it being exactly 12 months ago that the car was delivered to me.

I intended to put together a film of the trip but sadly I managed to delete all the footage bar 3 minutes from the dashcam while I was down loading it. mad2

So hopefully I’ll manage to create a short film out of the clip I do have tomorrow....

I switched from Conti to TTrac!

The best thing I ever bought for my 4/4!

Go for it!

Fat Wolfie..I was prowling round the Ilkley Otley area yesterday in the Supersports...met a 74 year old guy in Otley who had just bought a black 2012 4/4 sports..he did a fast 3 point turn and followed me lights flashing just to talk...quite alarmed my Dutch passenger !!!!

Who would have thought 3 Morgans in the same part of Yorkshire at the same time...is this a record.!!!!

He had the most rusted wires I have seen on a Modern Morgan...he had been quoted £100 per wheel to refurbish !!!!..told him cheaper to buy new from MWS.

I thought new painted wires for a 4/4 from MWS are closer to £215 per wheel ?

Who indeed! Was a good day for it, glad I didn’t wait until today..

Have managed to put the short film together, nothing like I intended. Link is here if anyone’s interested. https://youtu.be/R3AE98yGq_c

Sadly the quality of film and audio are not what I hoped for frown

Believe me if you knew that road, 30 ish is plenty! thumbs

(Out of interest it’s due to the nature of the local roads that I went through a succession of “desirable sports cars” before settling on the Morgan. None of the previous stable were satisfying as they were simply too powerful and too wide to use)
