Tested my new Vredesteins hood up today Im afraid.
Rob, How did you find the new Vredesteins? Were you on Contis before?
I've got to change soon and the T Trac is at the top of my list at the moment.
Hi Bob
Early days yet as Ive not covered many miles yet. The reason for changing form the original Contis was that they were 8 years old although they still had 5/6 mm of tread left.
I've only been out for 2 drives, one on damp and the other dry roads. Initial thoughts were that the car seemed more 'planted' with better grip but the tyres aren't 'run in' yet so I haven't pressed on too hard yet. Ride seemed a little improved and knowing I have new tyres I do feel more confident in the handling and braking of the car.
Overall I'm very pleased with The Vredesteins especially as there are some great prices around at the moment. I'm sure they will be much better in the wet although I don't intentionally use the car in the rain.
Appearance wise the TTrac2's have a much different look to the Contis. Although the same size & profile, for some reason the T Trac2's seem chunkier and more purposeful looking. The other difference is that the T Trac's have a swirl effect on the sidewall which I quite like but some would say that the Contis have a more classic appearance.
For four tyres for £200.00 fitted they are a bit of a bargain in my book and its a no brainer to buy some.
Hope this helps!
