On my 2011 Plus 4 underneath the dash on the drivers side, there is a knurled knob and a small push switch? Almost like a re-set switch. Has anyone idea what they are for? Like I have found with other things I am unfamiliar with, in the Owners Manual there is no mention!!!

Don't know about the push switch, but is anything happening when you push it? As for the knurled knob, you are sure it is not the regulator for the dash light intensity?

I think the push button is the odometer reset, it’s either that or the self destruct, push it and see.

The push button will be the trip reset. The knurled knob will be the dash dimmer.

Beware...that push button, as well as resetting the trip odometer, is also used to calibrate the speedo. If you depress it and hold whilst turning the ignition key to start the engine, it will go into calibration mode. A number will appear in the odometer space which if changed, will alter the calibration of the speedo. People have been known to do it by accident and then get stuck to reverse the process without knowing the original code.

Another possibility for the push button is clock calibration. If its a Smiths one with no other means of adjustment on the clock itself then maybe, like mine, push and holding button will motor hands around at ever incteasing speed until desired time is reached.

Have you got your clock working yet though John?
