Got the pus 6 to some up difference to plus 4.... Smooth and fast!
The only problem is that in the plus 4 I know what I am getting A Morgan and all that comes with it.... scintillating squeaks, romantic rattles, close harmony with road bumps, wind hair styling. The plus 6 immediately feels sorted , smooth, sophisticated, which lulls you into thinking you have a production Porsche or an advanced Aston but where do I switch on the GPS, adjust the rear view mirrors at the touch of a button, a seat that remember s your last positions, heating and air-conditioning that can be tuned within a tenth of a degree, having to jump in and out to adjust side mirrors, spend minutes not seconds putting the hood up I am brought back to being in a Morgan and so far I love it
The plus 6 was to be a wife pleaser and hopefully encourage the good lady to accompany me on some trips longer than 40 miles , so continuing where Morgan have left off with the make the wife happy accessories I am getting my lads in the workshop to make a trunk box that looks traditional but that can withstand British weather and should be able to take two carry on flight bags or one large suitcase my carrier bag will go behind the seat! The other challenge is to have the radio relaying all what is going on with the world whilst the GPS struggles to cope with my Directional Dyslexia. I have the connector from ny iPhone to the jack plug, even found one that has a charging input as well. I can get google maps through the speakers but don't think its possible to have GPS active whilst using radio app on phone Its the plus 6 syndrome lulling me into thinking I have a "proper" production car that politely reduces the volume on the radio to allow the gorgeous GPS lady to give me soft spoken directions. Have looked into latest GPS by Tom Tom but it seems thy use the frequency to give the voice directions that would be used by radio Any ideas ?
I promise the radio bit is just to keep the good lady happy and I will remain, whilst traveling alone, true to Morgan values and just listen to the music of the beautiful BMW engine amplified by the Morgan sports exhausts
Sorry not able to upload photo it says file too big but only 500 x 400 pixels Can you not just connect your Plus 6 audio cable to a small cheap self powered bluetooth device. You then have an industry standard wireless connection option to any other bluetooth capable device to allow audio hookup. It also allows two devices to connect simultaneously although only one at a time can relay audio. It appears that the new Plus Four has this facility when the bluetooth speaker option is added.

I think that with a weight of 1.35 kg the focal system is too light. To get full sound in the Morgan I plan to put my living room amplifier behind the seat. Then I have a sound full weight of 30,5 Kg and a little warmth in my back.
Here is the matching remote control that I will install under the dashboard of the passenger seat. My wife is petite anyway and she would like to share the space.
An analogue, valve powered system is a natural partner for a Morgan: as you say, the warmth will be welcome. I have measured it up and these would fit on the rear shelf of the Plus 8 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/10/2-80.jpg) I think that QUAD have a small valve powered pre-amplifier that would fit under the dash!

Then you just need a tow hitch to pull the trailored generator  Reminds me of the roving eye camera used by BBC outside broadcasts to cover horse races in the 60's and 70's. Initially a Humber Super Snipe Estate which had to cope with a full size studio camera/cameraman on the roof, vision engineer wedged inside as well as driver. It was replaced in the early 1970's with a Citroën Safari which was found to be the only vehicle that could cope with the weight within the dimensions required. I like your Quads very much, Peter. Never listened to them, I think your newer ones have KT88 instead of KT66 power tubes? Yes Richard, those were the days. And the cameramen and the technicians in mobile use, so where you were obviously also engaged, did such a great job back then. Because you often experience a lightness of image when watching these films that makes you forget that it was equipment weighing hundreds of kilos that was needed. BTW I love the pic with the DS In my small collection I have an original little Quad tube preamp stored (without mains transformer but for connection to one of the two mono power amplifiers) which still works properly. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/03/10/06DEFD27-FF10-454D-A669-5805EDD618A4.jpg) About 25 to 30 years ago I had made some trips with a rented minivan to London, where I was looking for well preserved hifi toys or I restored some of them myself. There was no internet as common as today but a city magazine. I think it was called Loots. There I found what I was looking for. Three pairs of old Quad II mono tubes, two pairs of ESL 57, three Leak Stereo 20's. Les helped me to find one pair of those ESL 57. Les was then an employee at KJ West One in New Cavendish Street where I had bought a lot of new hifi's after graduation to supply my friends and former fellow students. The good British brands at that time in Germany sometimes cost twice as much, Tannoy, Spendor, Rogers, Audiolab, Quad, Croft, Meridian, Roksan, Mission and others. I had not earned much from it, only my travel expenses and each time three days easy living in London financed. Les had later founded Walrus Hifi in New Quebec Street which unfortunately is over, and I was still in contact with him until 6 years or so ago, BTW this way when I followed the classifieds I got to know many different corners of London that you wouldn't always see as a tourist. This is hopefully not a thread drift

Heinz, yes, 4 x KT88, but they don't last that long, 2000 hours. Then the lower register starts to get unfocussed and muddy. Hi No Bluetooth but have got special adapter for iPhone that has jack plug and charging port so can connect phone to speaker jack plug and still charge (new I phone has no separate jack plug there is a jack plug to lightning connector but then you cannot charge phone so this adapter is quite useful. Have iPhone connected to speakers and on google maps you can now integrate with Spotify and it reduces volume when audio instructions, can't get radio yet I guess sometime soon google maps will integrate with my radio or tune in For now it has to be maps with Spotify or Radio and no Direction but that is not an option for me with my directional dyslexia
Update on Plus 6
just 100 mile now since pick up one or two minor issues so back to Allon White tomorrow but really enjoying the car, have the music, the wind, incredible performance and a hand built car I am fortunate

I did have the BBC i-player radio app installed on my Android phone. Just checked and there are a variety of internet radio apps now available. Guessing there are i-phone equivalents which would work subject to decent data roaming.

Yes Myradio is great but can't be used at same time as google maps the app has to be accepted by google maps and so far only Spotify and Apple play can be integrated with google maps

If you like Jazz try Radio Swiss Jazz: it is publicity free. http://www.radioswissjazz.ch/Available worldwide on internet streaming from the Web site, apps for Android and iPhone (can work on iPad too), plus internet radio, satellite, and DAB in Switzerland. PS. Available also http://www.radioswisspop.ch/ and http://www.radioswissclassic.ch/
