Hi all, I was hoping that there might be someone who could give me a step by step guide to removing the original radiator and installing an aluminium replacement as provided by Simon at Mulfab? Does the cowl need to be removed, the car jacked up etc?

Hi Simon

Is there any any drilling of the inner wings etc to relocate the tie bar when fitting your radiator to a 4/4?

There’s no drilling for anything

All the holes are already there

I can fit a radiator in a lazy couple of hours on my back with the car on a jack

But I’ve done a few, and I know what tools I need and all the tricks...

Thanks Simon

Craig Jezz highly recommends your radiators and I will change my plastic radiator for one of yours at some point soon.

Hi Simon, Apologies for the Mulfab slip!!!! It was actually Craig that recommended your radiator as we have engaged in quite a few conversations over upgrades etc. Looking forward to receiving a form of "Idiot Guide" to install.

No problem

I’ll see if I can get Simon or Brian to post it here as a sticky, in case I have anymore forgetful moments...

I fitted one of Simons rads to my plus 8 back in August/September.

After removing the Grill and Steering Rack the old one came out from below. (Good opportunity to check/clean/adjust the rack if necessary)

Radiator fit is very good and accessibility is not bad either, again it goes in from below.

Had to modify the bottom hose to make it fit but that could have just been my car.

Highly recommended.

I have fitted Simon's radiators to both my 4/4 and +8, not difficult straight forward just remove the front grill and air scoop (if you have one) then the old rad drops out and the new slots up. Great radiators and great value even with shipping to here in the States.
