SELF ISOLATE YOUR THREEWHEELER WITH PHIL

With the current restrictions due to covid19 I understand the reluctance of people to come and work beside me for their Centa cush drive and bevel box mounting upgrades. I am, for the duration of the restrictions, prepared to carry out the work for you - working alone, at no extra cost. The work will probably take a day or two longer but I will not charge for the extra hours. Prices on my website will be honoured.

If you can get your car to me or if you want me to collect ( maintaining a sensible and healthy distance from each other ) then I will carry out the work and provide you with some pictures as I go along - a sort of “virtual upgrade experience”

Stay safe and well.
Phil

Yesterday I removed my Centa cush drive rubber barrels, checked them and got them back in in under an hour, an easy DIY job.
I would rate the Bleazey cush drive modications as number 1 of all M3W mods including power upgrades, exhausts, shock absorbers etc.
A happy customer.

That's a fantastic service you're offering there Phil. Taking on the extra work at no extra charge is very generous of you. thumbs

A few people are asking about chain final drive and I have offered to do one or two but the big drawback is this. At the moment, I cut the teeth off the old final drive belt sprocket to make a chain sprocket carrier which means you can't convert back without buying a new belt sprocket and I guess the price would be prohibitive - if you can get one at all. I am hoping to get an old bevel box or sprocket to use for identification of the involute spline so that I can make carriers from scratch. Anybody got one they don't want?

There are significant advantages to chain drive :-
1/. The chain only costs about £100 and can be replaced without removal of the swinging arm and bevel box.
2/ The sprockets are cheap and easy to change which also means you can change the overall gear ratio.
3/ There is less conflict between chain alignment and vehicle centre line alignment - a chain will allow for small misalignment.
4/ The drive belt will track differently on over run braking and is difficult to keep quiet, especially if the sprockets are showing signs of wear. - use washing up liquid to quieten it if you want but it sounds wrong to me.

Watch this space - as they say.
