It's just possible it's intermittent and giving you a very sudden drop in power. Certainly worth swapping the switches over and checking there is no power loss but of course the brake lighting would then be dodgy. A new switch on the fuel one would be best if possible the wiring diagram will tell you by colour which is which, sorry not sucking eggs here just trying to help.

Bingo, thanks Rich
Heinz are you seeing this?
During servicing the day before, the technician noted that the brake lights weren’t working and found a fault on the switch. But that should have been the brake light switch. Interesting.

I've never had the need of one Craig so I can't answer that one, logic tells me no though because it would have to know when you are braking wouldn't it And that would be a very clever machine to know that

Craig, the switch is on/off I presume, so maybe the OBD would deem it legitimately off?

If the 2 switches are "ganged" could it be they are out of adjustment ? If so this would tie the two faults up. My Plus 8 only has the hydraulic switch but my 4/4 Sport had the 2 and I had to change the brake light one before one MOT.

That wire is green/purple. It looks like there is no adjustment. Waiting to hear if Uncle M has a switch in stock

Good shot SFG and good find - the adjustment is carried out on the back nut which is a skeletal affair the other side of the mounting bracket from the alloy upstand the knurled locking ring being the other side of it nearest the black actuator. Is the green/purple the fuel one ?
