I had fuel vapourisation problems with my Elan in Italy last year, when parked with a hot engine and the car sat in the sun. So I thought I'd make a small vent for the bonnet to try and improve things. My milling machine has been converted to CNC, only 2 1/2 D but it's good for profiling etc. I made roughed out the mould on the mill, then with filling and sanding made it the required shape. I used to work with carbon fibre ( Making prosthetic limbs ) Horrible stuff to work with ! Nice when it comes out good though.

Yes but I seem to remember they were water transfers though Jon. Have now checked on t'net and it is a recognised method for vinyl as well so will give it a go. Apparently helps to squeegee out bubbles as well. Richard, if its of any help when ive done similar in the past I've reminded myself to use plenty of water/soap..more is better as the last thing you want is for it to dry out and stick while you are trying to position it. It soon squeegee's out.

Caliper decals went on relatively easily, then lacquered them in. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/UwPyOE1.jpg) Huge amount of masking for spray paint, even removing it afterwards took a while. Would consider hand painting if I had to do the job again. Wow!!!!.....they look really good  They certainly do, nice work Richard !

Where did you get the decals Richard ?
They are very good. From here. Just ask for the Morgan logo set which should be three pairs of different sizes although I only received five.

The project now has a name; "Tick Tock"  Progressed to hour and minute dials with buttons to adjust the time. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/05/14/20200513_095143.jpg) It works reasonably well just like that but I have now attached a Real Time Clock, after the photo was taken, to keep more accurate time. I have yet to program that in. Following that I will have it automatically set the correct time after power off and automatically adjust for daylight savings time. All the loose wires will ultimately be connected directly to the board.

What about a two colour LED though Peter to indicate a.m. or p.m.?
