I follow the CV situation in Jersey, UK and Spain, the one commonality on social media is that majority thinks that "their" Government are doing a crap job. For example, Jersey has two petitions doing the rounds at the moment. One is demanding that the States reverse the recent loosening of the Lockdown the other is that the States end the Lockdown immediately!

Doris has played right into Nicola's hand with his easing of lockdown restrictions and she will sail on through now with the Independence referendum and win convincingly, the buffoon has played a spectacular own goal imho Wales and NI have shown similar common sense and care for their communities and not looking towards the cash box all the time and should be for heading in the right direction on their own and leaving him yet again.

I agree Rich. I listened to Mark Drakeford’s press/ info session lunchtime. A Q&A with press representatives and he was pretty clear on points he was asked about. Also as clear as sensible on the exit from lockdown. He stressed a managed, monitored, non date specific pathway with close communication with unions, business, parents, other groups. He was also unhappy about the lack of close communication from Westminster as he backed a UK strategy as a preference yet for the last week nothing has come. Hence the worry about people crossing the border for NON ESSENTIAL reasons, just for days out etc.. The golf club I am a member of opened on Wednesday but with quite strict rules. Personally I will leave it a bit longer and start back by using the practice range not actual playing. I play with the seniors which is a potentially vulnerable group. I think some of them will stay away much longer as they are even more vulnerable due to medical issues. How long for? Who knows. It depends on staying away from a resurgence and if a vaccine is developed. It is about 5 miles away so no long drive.

Sospan, he is impressive in any appearances I have seen him interviewed he is calm and reasoning and totally trustworthy is the feeling he leaves me with, unlike the out of control blunderbuss we have in the chair at the moment.
Trips out for me in the Morgan can wait until our overloaded and fatigued services have had time to catch their breath and it is safer out there to do so, a weekly neighbours shopping run to keep her ticking over is the extent at the moment 4 mile round trip.. A short run for you to the practise sounds a safe enough option and will keep you and her in good working order.

To the contrary, I think our Government here in Ireland have done a very good job and always give concise factual information - no spin or mumbo jumbo as seems to come daily from Downing Street via the BBC. I'm only sorry that they are an interim government as we will get a 3way coalition shortly when they all actually sit down to meaningful talks. It would have been much better to leave the current lot in power, But "the people have spoken" !!

The population density of London is something else...
This is old data, Greater London encompasses a total area of 1,583 square kilometres (611 sq mi), an area which had a population of 7,172,036 in 2001 and a population density of 4,542 inhabitants per square kilometre (11,760/sq mi).
When we lived, through the 1990s, in Wesel, NRW, (population 65,000, half the size of Salisbury) there was plenty of open countryside close by, it never realty felt "urban", even Dusseldorf is only 630,000! The latest official estimate of the population of London comes from the Office for National Statistics. According to their data, the estimated population of Greater London in 2016 is 8,787,892. The metro population in 2020 is estimated to be as much as 9.30 million according to the UN's World Urbanization Prospects.17 Feb 2020 Just a bit over crowded...

You are assuming that simply leaving the restrictions in place long term wont collapse the Scottish or Welsh economy, particularly given both Brexit and a world recession coming along

Mind you whatever the Cardiff Talking shop are saying, I can vouch that the restrictions are collapsing already. Living on the border and seeing both sides I cant see any real difference.

I am alluding to the fact that she will be seen within Scotland (and others) to have made the right decision for the electorate in putting their welfare before economics and that will be remembered come ballot time. I am no fan of NS but this does seem the right course of action at this present time.
