Amazing that they can offer this now. But even if you have antibodies you might not be immune.

Until we know if re-infection is possible, nobody is safe.
The prospect of a vaccine is so tempting, but without conventional long term testing, there could be major side effects.
Look at the Hoo-Har from MMR.
It's OK though. Trump has everything sorted, either ingest disinfectant or bang away with anti malarial drugs. Its not a problem apparently.
On another forum I frequent, with a large US contingent, in some areas, men with guns are demanding that the economy is restarted...……..
All we do here is crowd the beaches and parks.

After 7 weeks of safety, I'm back loading on Vit C and stuff to give my immune system as much help as possible.

Antibody tests tell if you have had COVID and have enough antibody to offer immunity. A vaccine simply causes your body to generate the same antibodies.
The PCR test tells you if you have COVID at the moment.

After 7 weeks of safety, I'm back loading on Vit C and stuff to give my immune system as much help as possible. It may be worth adding Vit D to that? There have been a couple of (not yet peer reviewed) studies that the increase in CV risk for the BAME group may be down to reduced Vitamin D that this group typically has.

there is no such thing as absolute safety in life, life is a risk Agreed, but there are certain steps we can take to mitigate risk - wear a seatbelt, fit a powerbreaker to an socket, don't poke a bear etc.... Surely taking reasonable steps to make life safer is a fairly rational process?

Surely taking reasonable steps to make life safer is a fairly rational process? Then the question is "what is reasonable"? In the absence of peer reviewed and statistically robust data subjectivity enters the equation and we end where we are, with a Government failing to please anyone and annoying many.

On this side of the pond, you get a free antibody testing report when you donate fluids at the regional blood center.
