I agree and checked back and yesterday they had a - 1,900 figure so a little bit of a Diana Abbott moment going on maybe.

I guess it might be possible they have changed a reporting protocol or some such thing and applied a correction.

Throughout the whole saga I have been impressed with Jonathan Van Tam.
He speaks a language I can understand, he answers questions honestly, succinctly and sometimes even with. humour.

Well I am not going to stop wondering how focused our side are but I am going to let out a little prayer that I am not in Latin America.

There are roughly 920,000 confirmed coronavirus cases and nearly 50,000 deaths across the region's 33 countries, but those numbers are fast on the rise.
As new deaths and cases fall in the United States, Europe and Asia, Latin America now stands as the world's sole region where the outbreak is unequivocally reaching new heights.
"In many ways this is no surprise," said Dr. Ana Diez Roux, dean of Drexel University's School of Public Health. "It was predictable that this was going to happen."
In conversations with eight different experts, including a former head of state, epidemiologists and top researchers on the region, there is wide agreement that faulty government response coupled with Latin America's unique economic and public health situation led to the severity of the current outbreak.
The experts were also nearly unanimous in the view that things are likely to get worse.

Maybe not Peter. The population is generally young and because of aids most have very good track and trace systems to isolate cases.
So far anyway they have done well and S Africa started lockdown about the same time as us.

Lock down is virtually finished in Italy. Travel between regions and not wearing of masks in the open will be permitted from next week. We will continue to take precautions but we are suffering from the "cave bear syndrome" we simply can not stand the noisy crowds of people that are now invading or once quiet and tranquil zone.

Eight days with no new cases here and only one active left in the whole country so we are coming right , however when the countries doors are open again we shall see, Hollywood people are heading down to make films here then we have the whole Americas cup circus wanting to come though to be fair they have offered to pay all costs of isolation
