Didn't Thunderbirds save something similar from crashing? I seem to remember a landing gear failure... I can't remember that one - I shall have to investigate  The very first episode of Thunderbirds, "Trapped in the Sky".

Many or possibly most ports have closed to cruise ships illness or not. Canada just extended their closure. Which means we will get a refund on our August trip. Mrs F is on the phone sorting it now. We had been waiting for someone to lose their nerve so we could get a refund as we did not want to lose the money we had paid out (40th Wedding Anniversary trip - we had rather exceeded ourselves and created a very expensive holiday). Silversea and Trailfinders look like doing the decent thing to their credit. We were originally told that it could take up to 10 weeks for the refund to be processed in full depending on the cruise firm and one or two others. This evening, I took a call from our Trailfinders rep to say that the full refund has been processed and should all be in our accounts in the next 2 days or so. Less than 2 weeks. Trailfinders and Silversea have impressed me with their attitude. I hope both are still there when we come to start booking overseas holidays again - whenever that is.

Had a quick peek at Silversea - presume you get what you pay for but cruises seem to be approx £7k per week for a couple.
A big jump from Fred & Tui but be good to compare though when the mortgage is paid off.

Had a quick peek at Silversea - presume you get what you pay for but cruises seem to be approx £7k per week for a couple.
A big jump from Fred & Tui but be good to compare though when the mortgage is paid off. We think you get what you pay for. Our favourite is Regent but they can be pricier - although they include trips as well as drinks which can make them better value on some sailings. We have tried Fred - just once. Never again.
