I would implement a health rule, some kind of mandatory treatment to be applied to all those not following the rules disregarding the health of their fellow citizens….

The worrying thing is that the term "average" means that 50% is above the average and 50% below it. This naturally means that 50% of the population has below average intelligence

I remember as a kid I swapped out my dad’s Anusol cream for Deep Heat. He wasn’t pleased.

Probably had a similar effect to the suggested suppository.

For those that may be interested - back in school now with Year 10's.

We're doing alternate days with Yr12's.

Having 'subject sessions' - kids come in for a morning three hour intensive on a single subject (limited to 15 due to SD in class) and then go home - no canteen/play/breaks. Class rooms are then deep cleaned and teacher moves to a different class for afternoon session of the same, with different batch of kids.

Then day at home, and in again for a different subject. I'll be in every day with them, as I'm responsible for their pastoral care.

First day today, and VERY strange. Kids are very quiet (unusual for our lot) and are struggling with face to face communication. Teacher have reported that they are getting little or no feedback and having to do much more old school 'chalk and talk' rather than have discussions and debate.

Still setting work online for the other year groups, and for those that are unable to come in for their own, or family safety.

Sounds like the lock down has had a significant impact on these youngsters. Let’s hope they regain their spirit quickly once things get back to normal. From your other posts, I get the impression that your school’s students are among the luckier ones. Students in less well run schools may find things difficult for some considerable time.

That does sound worrying, but I can see at that age the doom & gloom & isolation will not help their mental health.
