A pair of reproduction Lucas 1130's duly ordered from a reputable supplier. They weren't cheap but assumed that they wouldn't be a dear as Morgan's own and probably the same thing anyway - body wise as I went for the glass lens rather than plastic.
However....
The base of the body is flat. The wings where the light should go are curved. There is a rubber gasket supplied but that is simply to prevent metal on metal contact - not to mask any shape differences between the two which results in the gap shown in the photo's. And in any case, the fitting bolts certainly aren't man enough to start altering either the form of the light base or wing irrespective of the paintwork damage that may cause.
Can anyone with factory fitted or MMC dealer supplied 1130 wing mounted side lights shed any light (no pun intended) on whether their version have a curved base to the lights or are they flat as well?
Currently in a bit of a quandary and debating sending these lights back.
