The horn on my 2009 4/4 has failed, suspect it's the relay. How do I get to it ?

Replace the horn they fail, MMC didn't usually it a relay. Test it with a multi meter for resistance to be sure.

If you car has one horn as MMC designed t you can add a second as the wiring should be there
If you buy new horns they usually come with a relay.

I fitted a nautilus horn & used the second horn supply for a relay.

You could also check the power feed to the horn Richard if you have a multimeter. With ignition switched on measure the light green/white cable that connects to the horn (or the spare cable of same colour for second horn) with respect to ground/chassis. There should be +12 volts on this cable all the time as the horn switch is on the ground side. If no 12 volts, check fuse 9 (10 amp).

If as John suggests the horn itself has failed then good opportunity to upgrade to matching high/low tone pair (given extra wiring already present). They are as cheap as chips on eBay.

I had problems with the factory horn, so I fitted these twin Fiamm horns, only about £16.00

I would suggest mounting the horns with the opening facing down to prevent water from entering ..

I used this horns also on my CX500 w. sidecar. One day I had to use them in a dangerous situation!
They did not work! At the next break I removed all the snow out of the horns

“That’s a great idea. I,ve Also been wondering how I would stop snow going down the back of my neck. I suppose I could sit upside down. But then I’d get salt up my arse.” Probably better to leave it in the garage

Have found the problem, fuse had gone plus bad connections at steering wheel, poor contact between alloy boss and stainless.steel horn push.

Thanks to all for feed back
