What a terrible loss, one of life’s great characters. Like many we’ve been going on his MSCC trips for years, especially LMC, and then followed him to VinMog. As Deano says nothing was too much trouble and he provided an irreplaceable service to the Morgan community. Our sincere condolences to Ann and family. May his gentle soul RIP. Perfectly said Brian, as are so many other messages on this thread. RIP Quentin

Very sad news indeed. I never actually met him and was looking forward to meeting him in person at LMC 2021 after all the careful and punctilious e-mail exchanges I had with him, over LMC 18 and 20. An example of a true English gentleman - sadly a vanishing breed.
Please pass on my condolences to Ann and his family. Hopefully I will be able to do it in person at LMC 2021.
RIP Quentin.

I don't think he always saw eye to eye with the MSCC committee, and their treatment of him was not their proudest moment, but I hope there will be forgiveness from their side now.
RIP Quentin
The way elements of the MSCC Committee behaved towards Q was one of the reasons I felt unable to continue as Vice Chair, to the irritation of many who felt I was "letting the side down". With my 20/20 hindsight I should never have stood, temperamentally I am unsuited to the sort of management role expected by MSCC. I never met him, now I shall never meet him: that saddens me. Well said Peter. I can remember having a long conversation with Quentin in June 2015, at Llangollen about this. He and Ann were deeply upset and felt betrayed by the MSCC. It was therefore with great delight when he told me of his plans with Vinmog. With Vinmog, we saw the old Quentin back. So thank you Russell for being such a friend to him. We last saw Quentin at Montlhery last year. So happy memories of a dear friend. Bud 4/4 Stanley

What a tragedy, a lovely man and such a talented tour organiser. Went to the LMC 3 times with Q always superb organisation and any monies left over went to Morgan teams as sponsorship. Will be missed by many. RIP old friend.

Oh gosh! That’s sad news. I would like to echo all the words of condolence and those that pay tribute to a true and much loved Morganeer
I first met him at the rather unfortunate events of the MSCC AGM in 2015 (or 16 cant remember) when he had the rather public show down with MSCC over the travel club. I was new to the club so didn’t know the history of what went on before.
He very kindly sent me a Morgan card game a couple of years ago and we conversed a few times over private messages
I think from what I know, his legacy will be how much everyone enjoyed his travel club. I’ve not met anyone who didn’t have a great time and everyone who went with him was keen to book in with him time and again, trusting his arrangements
What a super fellow.
I know he will be deeply, deeply missed by everyone who knew him and travelled with him
To Quentin
RIP

I rarely say R.I.P but in this case I will. I’m quite shocked to hear that he’s passed away. Such a lovely character with boundless energy and I’ve had some great trips to the likes of Le Mans Classic and Montlehry ably organised by him and Ann., It was thanks to him I met the wonderful Budster and the equally wonderful Lady B. Happy times. He will be sadly missed.

Happy times. He will be sadly missed. Our first meeting with Jays was a series of extraordinary coincidences. I advertised a number plate (S800 MOG) for sale in Miscellany, which Jays duly bought. In discussions during the transaction, we both realised that not only were we going to the 2012 Le Mans Classic, but we’re in the same hotel and booked on the same ferry! Forward to the day of the ferry. Susie and I had driven from Devon, and as we were literally driving around the roundabout at Portsmouth, to enter the ferry port, I spotted a green 4/4 about to follow us into the port. It was S800 MOG! That was the first of many fun adventures for us, with Jays. So, another great result, all started by the endless work and enthusiasm of Quentin and Ann.
