If you have got long legs a seat elevation may be useful. and you get an additional storage area under the seat Hannes, that's the most unusual use of joist hangers I've ever seen

I believe you could say he is hanging ones joist, ooooorrrr wondering where that rattle and squeak is coming from.

The picture is not from my car but I had a similar construction with a tight fit setting and there was no rattle at all from the seats.

What did you use? I was thinking a block of wood would do the same thing. A length of wood is cheap & experiment to find size thats most comfortable for you. I went for 50 x 50mm & eventually fastened it to seat seat base with angle brackets.

I am fortunate to be short and not need a block under the seat but I did put a block a few inches behind the pedals on the floor to act as a foot rest for the clutch leg. No screws or bolts, just wedged in place and it works fine.

I think you and I are about the same height, I found a 4" cushion really helps me see the front of the car and have a bearing where I am going

I think you and I are about the same height, I found a 4" cushion really helps me see the front of the car and have a bearing where I am going I am 5’6” and found the addition of fender lamps let me know the right front location.
