An exceptional drive from Lando Norris and so good to see McLaren back at the front and Lando setting a new British record. I felt sorry for Albon too after the racing incident with Lewis. Seven cars out by the end of the race is a serious attrition rate these days. Botas delivered on time perfectly So it looks like Albon, Norris and Leclerc are the men on the move and the future of the front row, good to see the new talent coming through.

It was a race that started as expected, then a combination of hard racing and mechanical fragility took it into a new era with some real racing. I enjoyed it and am actually looking forward to the next race on Sunday! I wonder how many cars will fail this time!
In my view Hamilton has evolved into a wealthy, pretentious and opinionated bully, his move on Albon was unacceptable and he should have had a harder penalty. The media report that he wanted a pay rise for next year from £32m to £40m and Toto has told him it is £20m, not negotiable. I very much hope he sulks off into his new political activist world, along with Vettel and let the new talent shine through!

Yes Vettel pretty much made himself unemployable by any senior team this weekend.
The cars a dog We are not prepared No effort on the track Face liked a slapped kipper
That lot should get him some bonus points, not the right type mind you.
Really enjoyed the race. A couple of those prangs did seem as if they could have been avoided.
Brilliant news for McLaren and Albon, Norris and Leclerc as you say.
As for Hamilton assuming his new found power will get him an additional £8m I have no idea where his head is. I am never going say he is anything less than highly talented but lets face it the car does have a bit of an advantage. What a muppet.

I can't but fully agree with all of you. The new young chargers are the future. Shame about Max's car but I thought Albon was a real gent with his somewhat restrained comment about Mr Gangster Rap and his actions. The sooner he gets a job in Harlem the better for all concerned. Yes, again I have to agree that Seb let himself down with not only his drive but his post race comments. He should retire gracefully so that we can still remember that he was once a brilliant driver, it's not as though he needs the money!!
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

What grinds my gears most is that whilst he takes the knee and wears his shirt not the one everyone else has on to support his request for a more active statement by F1 his mother is native English but we hear nothing about this element. He has grown up in England and had from my limited observation a quite remarkable opportunity regardless of colour, religion or sexual preference. I get and do support the BLM moment as well as the ALM (All) however it does niggle a bit when I sense someone like this championing it. Is it more about him raising his sochul medier profile so he can get a rap contract and then run for Prime Minister? It probably says more about my cynical nature I guess which is troubling for me and something I should review.

I think the problem for me over this latest gesture is that the sight of many young Monaco millionaires probably tax free posturing in such a way will never be seen by the George Floyds of this world, it is totally irrelevant to them and me. This is as you say very good PR for him and the Silver arrows team and dovetails very neatly into Suzies recent work to gain equality for the girls. All of these things are positive and good for the future but I can't help feeling this is all about Lewis and his future "I have a dream" as someone of note once said. I guess when you work at the top of F1 he no longer has real mates that have the guts to say, maybe not such a good idea why don't we sponsor some minority drivers or even better put some money in the ghettos. The shitgibbons would deny they exist either side of the pond but they are very real and involve all hues.. ALM I support fully splitting one group out isn't really the right thing to do is it

Le Clerc was strong enough to say he didn’t want to join in the kneeling, he said something along the lines of he’ll put his efforts into actions rather than gestures. You may or may not agree with him, but I admire his confidence in his own beliefs, Verstappen did similar. A great race I thought, plenty of action. I don’t get the dislike for Hamilton however, he seems perfectly nice to me, I didn’t think the accident was much more than 50/50, round the outside wasn’t a good idea there, a dive up the inside on the way out would have worked better.

Watching the race, he did not seem to make a "move" at all, it looked as if Albon slightly overshot,. a view that Coulthard confirmed, He accepted the penalty with grace. It is a puzzle to me why there is so much hate for one of the finest F1 drivers of all time.
