On Sunday we were in a carpark a chap came over to admire the trade and aero. The aero owner ( jealous bugger!) told him mytrac was a kitcar. I played along. Described the wooden chassis and engine. He took it all in. Mind you, he was an M3 owner.....

Well one or two of the more recent BMW's have had pretty wooden chassis as well.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I agree, Dave - Driving in to Chartres this time last year, there were a lot of “bikers” coming the other way, and, almost to a man, they dropped their left hand and put their thumb up as they passed.

One of our best memories...there have been more than a few.
The LogMog Summer run in and around the New Forest started from a Cafe & Tea Room at Burley.
The carpark was almost full of Morgans, with the usual chatting and catching up going on.
A group of tourists appear and start asking questions about the cars....in German!
Fortunately there were 3 or 4 German speakers in the group, so we were able to talk, but I think I was the only one with "auto technical German"....

They were happy, but what really made me grin was their assumption that someone would speak German.... englandwave

I was going to start a new thread but thought this story belonged right here, enjoy

Stan Jodeikin, President of the Morgan Owners Club of Australia, received an email from a lady who wished to grant her terminally ill father his lifelong fantasy of being driven in a Morgan.

Stan arranged to drive him around along with other Club members from his home in the Sydney suburb of Baulkham Hills on Sunday 5 July,
Local Morganeers gathered in response to this request from a total stranger to fulfil a dream of her ill father.

This is the email his daughter sent after the occasion.

Dear Stan,
I would like to warmly thank you and the Morgan owners club members Lachlan, Andrew and Rebecca on behalf of my family for making my father's special day so very memorable.
Kerry is a passionate car enthusiast who especially loves Morgan cars and would have loved to have bought one in his lifetime; unfortunately this has not come to fruition.
However, on Sunday 5th of July not only did you arrive with one magnificent Morgan but three to take Kerry on an amazing joy ride.
The club members warmth and friendliness towards my family was remarkable and made the experience so enjoyable. Kerry was so surprised and thoroughly enjoyed his ride out to Glenorie and back including a stop at a local cafe.
This was over and above our expectations and we thank you for taking the time out of your day to spend it with my family.
Unfortunately my dad has been sick for the last two years and was recently told that his cancer was not curable and had spread significantly reducing his lifespan to six months.
I have not seen my dad so energized after his day out on Sunday and he has been reminiscing the day ever since.
I cannot thank you enough for helping us to give Kerry and our family these wonderful memories.

Kind Regards,
Amber Stocker

What a great story, how seemingly simple gesture has great meaning for others. Thanks for sharing.
