2 beauties there Craig...definitely the cars, not the drivers. Nice to meet up and thanks for the pointers.

George, it is a very atmospheric picture. I like the landscape at your home area a lot. It's very nice to see that you two are enjoying the ride in your Morgan Plus 8.

I don't know to be honest, we never book more than one night ahead so everything's always up in the air.

Craig, this looks like a very nice boys' trip. thumbs

...Another two weeks, then we will go with the 4/4 for one week to East Tyrol to a farm without many people, in a rented apartment...We are looking forward so much.

We liked Asti and the restaurants there very much back then. Unfortunately I don't remember what the best one was called, but it was generally a city with good food. And a good spumante is so much better than its reputation.

K & TBM, many thanks for your kind thoughts on the possibilities of keeping my extremities warm in Winter...(-: Heinz, I am pleased you liked the picture. The countryside hereabouts is very green, as the result of the rather large amount of rain we Scots are well used to, especially on the West coast..(-: I do indeed feel fortunate to live where I do, just a field distant from the outer edge of suburbia, thus not even a traffic light between me and interesting generally quiet roads and scenery. However part of the Covid effect seems to have been that the population have discovered the countryside in a BIG way, thus the former quiet places have seen walkers, cyclists, parked cars and traffic like never before, which is quite a change...Fortunately such is our population that as yet we tend not to get "rammed" as it seems Richard describes in his part of the world .... Perhaps this is to be expected as the new normal, I guess..?
