I have bought a second hand but unused tonneau cover for my 2017 plus 4. On the car I currently only have a lift the dot stud on the top of the dash in about the middle of the windscreen and one stud each side just behind the door where the hood normally fixes.

Is there a guide somewhere that shows what studs I need to buy for all the other fixings? are they all the same? is it then just a case of a small pilot hole & then screwing in the additional studs?

Anything I need to be aware of - cables in close proximity etc and any special washers etc needed under the studs.

Which part of the country are you in? If your anywhere near Milton Keynes or Bedfordshire I would recommend you give Allon Whites a call. Their trim expert Shaun will transform how it looks fitted as he knows all the dodges.

Colin (no connection but he has made one for me and altered others).

Agreed Shaun is very good.
There are 2 more lift a dot studs on the scuttle either side , just like the one in the middle of the windscreen. There should be press studs on the doors.
