What a great race at last !!!! R.I.P. Ferrari, what the hell are they up to???? Great to see the new young drivers getting to the front and Mclarens resurgence is brilliant to see. As you say, what must Sainz be thinking when he goes home as next years cars are going to be very much more of the same. I love Ferrari but all the cudos in the world for driving with them can't make up for what seems to be awaiting him. It was so refreshing not to see a Mercedes out in front but I expect it's just a minoe blip. We will see next week in Italy again.

Thank you Mario, I did make a mistake there didn't I.
Who would have thought that of Minardi. Well deserved.
Reg as you mentioned Sainz going to Ferrari not looking good all of a sudden. I bet Ricciardo is grinning at the moment before the move to McLaren, even if Renault were a bit more racy than normal this weekend.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

The thing that really came home to me was what an outstanding and natural racer Lewis is whereas Bottas really struggled in similar equipment and ended up 2 places ahead of Lewis after his 10 Sec stop go penalty was served, quite why he was moaning about overheating in traffic and Lewis wasn't remains a mystery too. Playing devils advocate I would like to see Seb in the other Mercedes seat and I suspect Lewis would welcome the extra competition .

Rich, Now, I think that is somethings loads of racing fans would love to see. Two world champions in the same car with no excuses. Even I would stop moaning about MB if that happened but I think Toto is quite happy with the existing set up and also Botas has a contract for next year ( I think )

Two world champions in the same team would not end well, how many times have we seen two “equal” drivers in the same team harming each other’s chances and that of the team. MB had the Hamilton/Rosberg silliness, Toto won’t want that again. From the teams perspective a number one driver with a second to push them or fill their boots if it all goes pear shape is best

You may be right, but one team's dominance is only bearable if both drivers there are WDC material. Hamilton/Rosberg is one example, but the best (and most memorable) by far is ![[Linked Image]](http://img3.auto-motor-und-sport.de/Ayrton-Senna-Alain-Prost-McLaren-1988-articleTitle-e3e386d2-515049.jpg) Mclaren then was as dominant as Mercedes is now. And I don't remember F1 being boring in those years!

My comment earlier about Seb taking the other Mercedes seat was serious, we have always had the most exciting races when two REAL contenders have been alongside each other in the team, it's an expensive game for the teams but that's their problem not mine from a spectators perspective As Mario points out the little professor and Ayrton were a perfect example of many such pairings.

I'd like to see one of the kids in the other Mercedes seat... Lando, perhaps.

Mid field racing has been great this year. Nice to see it make it too the front. And really happy for Pierre. I bet he hasn't slept yet!

I find it amazing that there is systematically this difference, is it only th driver, I wonder. I do not want to diminish anything from Lewis’ extraordinary skills. I am thinking same in team Redbull where Max systematically outshines his team mate (i.e. when Max finishes...)
