Hi Alan ,

re removing the grub screw - my car failed its MOT on headlight alignment , and to lower them I needed to loosen this grub screw. Mine was rusted solid, so in the end I had to use a screw extractor , drill and tap to next size up , and to use stainless bolts with a head you can get hold of instead !
Its now on my winter check list to remove and grease these screws.

Good luck
Graham

The grub screw is M5 use a good quality or new allen/hex key or you will risk rounding over the edges of the grub screw and then will have to drill them out I replaced mine with stainless steel.

I think these are the head light units price per pair

Looks like a few additional 'OE' parts can be sourced here as well: pedal box, fuel cap, flag badges, etc.

I had this trouble too. SVC were good enough to supply me with just one headlamp shell only.

I seem to remember that the piece that pulls down onto the neck of the shell had a sharp edge that made the contact. I blended this in.

Just a message to thank you for the address. Just order the shells at SVC. There were super fast! Thanks to Peter from SVC.

I have the same problem for the left one. The "holding slot" (at the other side of the screw) is broken at the other one... Time to change both.

I had the same issues and bought a pair of shells ex USA
Diets 7in units. The threaded fitting is smaller in diameter which makes getting wiring in a little more difficult but the means of securing the threaded part is far superior.
Cost effective even with the freight charges
