A real gentleman - he went through and explained to me in detail the differences between the gearbox.
The JS gearbox do fit a Morgan but require modification. Rear gearbox mounting to the chassis and driveshaft which takes the power from the engine via the input shaft and coupling.
Problem solved.
Many thanks to all of you who contributed.
Much appreciated.

And let's not forget Billy's dad, Jack. Been racing his Moss box Plus 8 since Adam was a lad and before that, a very quick 4/4!

Arwyn

And an indecently quick 4/4 4 seater before that 4/4! He nearly took me out at the hairpin on the Cadwell Park club circuit in the former.

The issue of the gearbox is proving to be very informative discussion topic. Given that I have a JS version gearbox I am keen to understand why it is not suitable. Would you be kind enough to scan or take a picture of the relevant pages of Colin Musgrove's book Moggie which deals with the subject?
It would every much appreciated.

This article copied onto the GoMog web site is really helpful in explaining the differences between the various types of Moss gearbox: https://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/mossgearbox.html
