[not one of their horses is shod, they are unnecessary if the hooves are properly tended to I have learnt from them. That is not strictly true - despite the propaganda from the barefoot brigade. Of our two horses, one would probably be fine if barefoot. The other would be in severe distress due to a confirmation issue that causes one of his hooves to have a weak sub-structure. Had this conversation on Monday with a barefoot "expert" who had to agree with me when she looked more closely at Teddy's feet. Also, the UK's largest Horse Sanctuary has just over a 100 that are shod (out of around 1500) and they would not go to the extra expenses if it were not necessary.

I bow to your first hand superior knowledge here, I'm just quoting verbatim what we were told on the day, I think there is only a couple of their horses that are ridden the rest are all retired rescue jobs. My only experience of them is that they bite and throw you off

Sospan .... Now you can get married just about anywhere, perhaps you should try to bypass the chiselers and go for a more quirky venue .... especially if it's not going to be a cast of thousands ... a small art gallery etc ... there will be plenty of places who have had a hard time over the covid period who may embrace something out of their ordinary line for some unexpected income.

The barefoot horse world has much to commend it but the people involved have started to become a bit evangelical. It doesn't help that to be a barefoot trimmer does not require the same level of qualifications as a proper farrier so there is a bit of "snake oil" starting to creep in.

 Perhaps a visit to "Diggerland" one day?  Definitely worth going, We took one of our grandsons there a couple of years ago, he loved it...and I had fun too, he was too small to drive some of the stuff himself so I had to "help". Not a cheap day out but good fun.
