I note from the article in MOG mag, that the seats in the plus six were deemed to be comfortable. Mag bias probably, certainly proves a test drive may change your perception Rich. That is an interesting comment in MOG mag and as you say there could many reasons for printing that. We definitely will take a test drive in a Plus Four at some stage but the enthusiasm and desire has vanished for a while after yesterdays mindful 100 miles in the Plus 8, combined with the seats and unresolved brake issues on the new model.

Richard, I am also a two feet in kind of person, also I don't like to borrow money for cars and every time I got close to being able to afford a Morgan something (normally family related) would happen to my savings The Silvia was special to me because I had it a long time, only a handful exist in the world and in another year I would have been able to put my grand daughter in the back seat using the stuff I used for my son two decades ago. But the Frontline definitely will be a cracker based on my test drives, lots of fun to drive and overall I think a much nicer car than the Silvia was - can't wait to hear those throttle bodies . Thanks again Chris, it seems we share very similar views on ownership, commitment and method of payment for our pleasures, like you I waited a long time before I bought my first toy Plus 8, it's maybe a first love thing going on as well. That would have been a very special moment with your Silvia which I really relate to, still looking ahead they will love a trip in your Frontline for sure and will want to show off their super cool Grandpa in his car.

I'm the same I pay cash these days. I hate being in debt. I hope the new car brings you much joy.

I do wonder what the dealers pay for the cars from the factory, obvious less than the advertised price but even so I think you are right it will be over A$200,000 for a car here. I had a bit of a search and can't find any new website for the local dealer, even the Morgan Owners Club has a link to the old site. Chris, check the dealer listing on the Morgan UK site......

Hi Richard - Yes, while it will be longer as she will have to be older to go in the front of the MGB compared to the back of the Silvia I think it will be more special mainly because she can't have anyone else come along as well so have my undivided attention. Plus in a small girls eyes I expect it will be a very cool and cute car.
John - thanks I am sure my car will bring much joy.
About paying cash, for years I had the feeling many people retired and took pay pension and part lump sum and some of the lump sum was used towards a Morgan. Sure younger people bought them as well but I thought many bought of the car as a retirement present to themselves after years of wanting one, that is what I was expecting to do until the retirement day finally came and due to changes in rules, fund earning rates etc. the all pension option made more sense. So I had to work again afterwards and fund the toy car delaying it a couple of years. I think things are changing and the younger generation are happy to borrow for what they want to get it when they want.
Gary - interesting. The phone number and e-mail address for Chris is the same on the old and new websites so definitely the same company. They state "Morgan Cars is an official Morgan Dealership based in Australia. Morgan Cars is proud to represent the Morgan Motor Company. As an official Morgan Dealership, Morgan Cars are authorised to sell new and used Morgan vehicles, as well as providing Aftersales services for existing models and the supply of official Morgan parts." I wonder if they have managed to sell any new cars since the demise of the Trad.

That's why we lost the opportunity of a brilliant Perth Dealer. I don't follow the action like I used to so I'm not sure how much business has been done.

Yes it's going to be well worth the wait Chris, our No1 granddaughter had her first drive in my Sport at 3 in the special seat in the front in January 2013 and loved it, she's now ten and sits on the real seat in the front always with the grin in the Plus 8. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/08/jl.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/02/08/jlk.jpg) Yes Chris I've never been a borrower or a loaner other than to family, I'm a low risk person so would never raid or take advantage of releasing some pension primarily as I want to protect my wife is my top priority. We had three children to put through University and these things take time to recoup the money to start spending on toys, but we lived to tell the tale and have enjoyed 3 Morgan's over seventeen years so count ourselves as very fortunate indeed.

Gary - Yes I agree it would be a tough gig so I doubt anyone would put the effort I for getting the CX plus four to get passed for ADR's. I expect Morgan's Cars are just importing the odd part for a customer. Richard - great photos that I assume are 7 years apart with number 1 grand daughter standing behind the car for the second photo. I really love Green for a Morgan - was the colour I planned to choose if I had gone that way. I know it is a while away in the build but I am thinking of getting a rollbar in the Frontline and get them to put a bracket for a baby seat to bolt to. I got two brackets attached to the roof cover for the Silvia and approved by the engineer as part of the ADR compliance process. Then put harnesses with teddy bears designed for seat belts on them, mainly to protect the seats from wear but kids loved them. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2021/02/10/Silvia-back.jpg)
