I’ve had this spare spinner kicking around for ages along with a desire to somehow use it to replace the tap handle arrangement that clamps my spare.
So I gave it ago this week....

First find a suitable bolt. This Tee bolt was perfect.
Pre tack the bolt in position. Important to get it absolutely centralized and perfectly upright.
Acquire a few tubes of epoxy resin from the local pound shop.

Fill the cavity. Not the prettiest of potting but it did set really hard and glass like. I don’t think the bolt will be detaching any time soon

But if you do find a spare wheel laying by the side of the road it might just be mine
