I’ve had this spare spinner kicking around for ages along with a desire to somehow use it to replace the tap handle arrangement that clamps my spare. So I gave it ago this week.... ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/vz5bfsii6ijh9rl/spinner4.jpg) First find a suitable bolt. This Tee bolt was perfect. Pre tack the bolt in position. Important to get it absolutely centralized and perfectly upright. Acquire a few tubes of epoxy resin from the local pound shop. ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/05fuogcpkvf5nrx/spinner2.jpg) Fill the cavity. Not the prettiest of potting but it did set really hard and glass like. I don’t think the bolt will be detaching any time soon ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1838qphlp96f6tl/spinner3.jpg) But if you do find a spare wheel laying by the side of the road it might just be mine

If you continue to fit the spacer thing then it won't be coming detached. In an extreme potting failure mode, it might rattle a little but it won't fall off.

Thanks chaps Me likey May I ask what thread it is? thanks in advance It’s 1/2” BSW. The bolt was 5” long but it might need to be a bit longer for say a Roadster wheel. Search ebay with “1/2" BSW Tee Bolt”

Nice job Rog. I would be tempted if doing the same to use a stainless bolt though. Found some 5" ones here and they are sold individually
