The Avons are rated as rear/sidecar tires. They weren't meant to be used for steering.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

In the three wheeler application wouldn't the motorcycle tires in front have a small contact patch than something like the Blokleys?
I was of the same opinion as you until I saw a picture of them in use. They offer a similar contact patch to a lent over motorbike, just not how the tyre designer had in mind😳 ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2021/04/05/F2042FE9-95AB-4D79-BA37-BA884A8C1D81.jpg)

Finally had my Blockley's fitted. When I drove out for the first time it felt as if I had power steering fitted to the car! There is a much smaller contact area with the road than the Avons. Not done that many miles yet but seems to grip the road much better too. It remains to be seen how well they last but so far this has made the car so much easier to steer.
