Is GoMog still being maintained? I looked up crinkle/wrinkle paint, but it brings me to a different page. Didn't know if I can still contact someone about it.

Or if anyone here knows the technique.

when you do a search, there are a couple of check boxes, one for searching gomog only and one for the www. Think you may have searched www as I think that is the default.

I’ve just revisited crinkle wrinkle painting with a job on my 1952 +4.
The secret is make sure the aerosol is both warm and well shaken. Likewise the item being painted needs to be at least at room temp.
I then put the (in my case dash panel) item in a hot oven (while the wife was out) for 15 mins to help the ‘wrinkling’.

Getting the paint is easy online however only in black or red. To get ‘early dash brown’ a fine coat of normal brown aerosol over the finished black wrinkle will suffice !

Thanks for the link, Rich.

Bill. Put it in the oven...in the house. Oh boy, that will be an interesting conversation.

I followed the directions on GoMog. 3 coats of paint, then let it sit for 20 minutes. Nothing happened. I thought I had another failure.

Then into the oven for 20 minutes, and .....WOW!

Now I want to crinkle paint everything!

Good job Pauly G. thumbs I remember the first time I used it many years ago, I too expected failure, the oven makes the difference...as long as you don`t get caught doing it .. smile

I wanted to use Sperex yellow on the exhaust but try as I might there was no way of getting them in the oven laugh2

As Luddite says Pauly G that's a great job .

Good timing for me as i recently found a rather nice old metal box with a crinkle finish in a skip ! Ive been wondering how to redo it . Sadly too big for the oven , think i might try using a hot air gun on it .
