Homemade spring assisters for later two seater trads with damper hoops. ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/sjoy7l5rdmxx1ns/forsale.jpg) Better comfort and safety on cars where the rear suspension bottoms out. ![[Linked Image]](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/pd7t1v82y2msu60/squish3.jpg) Produced by a TM member, not a business or suspension specialist. £125 plus £5 UK shipping (sorry, I can’t offer fitting). PM if interested and include an email address for a copy of the car compatibility/assembly notes. A couple of old threads here and here for some background.

Totally brilliant on my 4/4. The first mod anyone should do. A 100% endorsement from me. Nick

I don't suppose anyone has had a go at fitting Rogers bump stops to an ARP4, with coilovers instead of leaf springs, have they? When loaded my springs do bottom out, with quite a bang too. The alternative is harder rear springs, but that will harshen the ride too or get some longer springs and wind up the clearance a bit.

The alternative is harder rear springs, but that will harshen the ride too or get some longer springs and wind up the clearance a bit. I can't see how they would work, the assisters clamp to the tubular rear suspension hoop (which the ARP4 has not got) and the rubber damper is designed to meet the rear leaf spring (which the ARP4 has not got). To stop coilovers bottoming out you need some rising rate springs that become progressively coil bound as they compress.
