Based upon the exhaust pipe coloration, I now have the left hand cylinder running much hotter than the right. Has anyone else experienced this? Cause?

It would be good to use an infrared gun or temperature probe to verify and quantify the temperature difference before getting too worried.

Typical of running too a lean mixture. Remove spark plugs and compare colours. Lean will be showing whitish deposits. If confirmed, could be faulty injectors? BUT, I know nothing really about M3Ws in particular.

I found the the Right Hand Cylinder (the rear cylinder) always runs hotter. Possibly something to do with the motorcycle original configuration of the motor wanting the rear cylinder to run more rich because it is in the heat shadow of the front cylinder?

Does anyone make a conversion kit to mount the X-Wedge engine sideways on the M3W to compensate for the originally intended configuration? smile

Measured at the exhaust pipe before the muffler. Noticed that one pipe was getting very discolored after a short ride the other was staying shiny.

Mine did that too. My rear cylinder (left side facing motor) has always run cooler.
