Since 3 months I own a M3W built in 2013 and I´m working on a lot of details ... this forum is a great help for me and I would like to give some inspiration back to the members here!

This was the starting point:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ideo_vdP-5B3ZHW0TrwmUHScJNNHboYj/view?usp=sharing

For the moment I work on a lot of optical details ... in the winter months I will do all the necessary work on the centa drive (Phil Bleazey) at the moment I´m waiting for the Krazy horse suspension upgrade kit (Empire Racing) and for Oehlins shock absorbers (hopefully they will arrive in the next weeks).

The first action was the G56 Stage one kit:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tqLojalJ-BMhm1AS7STcBuPgXFcKW8Aw/view?usp=sharing

...the heat shields and the mounting brackets are powder coated

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GJRJpdfd4tY06omT7Be2Bf-VGxcU9BUe/view?usp=sharing

...the air filter cover is painted (the carbon opic was nice but it doesn´t fit to the look I would like to achive)

Next was a bi-LED front light and new turining lights:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J1dmsISVawOChcRcVCtw5Ssw2phrzCL-/view?usp=sharing

... do you find the turning lights :-)

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ztP-8K5-v4BMjUXOtZ6SUr3WhH5MbCew/view?usp=sharing

Then I worked on the original steering wheel:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/19ByHa2hmyGwMZuA56Z7pm1g2gG3rTM0h/view?usp=sharing

Beside that I built in ~ 12 kg of absorbing mates (on every part which was accesable):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tDnGUKXoPNyhDOquWOzgYL4mZzuRvS35/view?usp=sharing

The tool bag (made of a simple motorcyle tank bag):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F7vc2CWUiInthOqq9ikzYRKhBrLCRkpz/view?usp=sharing

And one of the most important things --> Blockley tyres:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sHFjaTI35xZfR-weHe0x5Wa79pi7eOaW/view?usp=sharing

... never expected such a big positive change of driving behaviour from tyres!!!

Just finished - rear whell mudgard:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tgDxa396Vzb18tfc1tjHeOnyZ_OCSVWL/view?usp=sharing

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uTacXBPFP-fAMMA7M9OuIjDLz2xGg06q/view?usp=sharing

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zhFS6L0fMIDLuApkdWXovtqDyc8gspqi/view?usp=sharing

... the plastic mudguard comes from a trailer shop nearby ... the rest is handmade out of 2 aluminium plates

So far so good - this week I will finish the backside turning lights - photos will follow asap!

For all that are interested where to buy the front lights - you can find them here:

https://www.ltprtz.com/7-Bi-LED-Headlight-Prime-with-DRL

They are quite expensive but approved and E-marked which is essential here in Austria to habe no problems with the police.
In addition they have a little bit "old style - original" look (at least in my opinion).

The front turning lights can be found easily everywhere - they are called LED insert heat and there are a lot of machined housings available. I used this ones:

https://motovo.de/advanced_search_result.php?categories_id=0&keywords=395113&inc_subcat=1

I connected them inside the front light housing with the orginal cables:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EN7XxLibBD4-YnFLSi6CtHWVl1s5n3MJ/view?usp=sharing

They are nearly invisible and have also an E-mark for the use in the EU!

Hi Ebetec,
your list of mods is interesting.
Your M3W seems not new, but not used?

I had a 2013 M3W for several years.
For me best improvement was a steel sprocket for the dive belt and a free flowing exhaust.

Think about the engine cooling fan for slow traffic movement too.
And don't forget to check the chassis for upgrades against cracking.

Wish you many happy miles!

@Andrej...my "little bastard" is built 2013 but has only a milage of 2200 km when I got it - so old but still (more or less) new!
The problem is that there was not one update / upgrade / improvement done ... so I have now the full job to do 8during the next months).

@The Austrian: engine cooling fan is ordered and chassis upgrade (chassis cross brace) is already arrived at Morgan Motor Austria which arranged this for me / also the pedals upgrade is arrived there --> both under warrenty from MMC :-) --> Mrs. Drev Hammerschmied did a good job !!!

The best upgrade for me so far are the Blockley tyres + the G56 exhaust and air filter ... much more fun to drive it now.

I will do a lot of further improvements and hope to finish everything end of winter season 2021/2022!

Eddy, your car does indeed seem to have avoided any of the various upgrades during its life.
For instance, I noticed the acute angle of the steering arms:
[Linked Image]
Most early owners found that this leads to quite severe bump steer - to the extent that the cars could be dangerous to drive.

Therefore, under pressure from owners, MMC introduced a 'Comfort Kit' which is basically a spacer set to reposition the track rod ends to keep the steering arms roughly horizontal.
[Linked Image]

This results in a much calmer driving experience (!) and I recommend that you speak to your dealer about having this modification done.

I also recommend that you read the Buyer's Guide which is available as a free download from the Morgan Three Wheeler Club website. This will give you a good understanding of your car and give you pointers as to the work needed to produce a reliable vehicle.

By the way, I do like your minimalist front indicators! thumbs

@ Bunny - thanks for your advise! The Buyer´s Guide is my new bible since 3 months ;-)!

I already ordered the "empire racing suspension upgrade kit" at Krazy Horse in UK ... I thought this should solve all the problems with the original bad construction of the stearing from MMC - isn´t it?.

Do I have to implement the "comfort kit from MMC" additionally?

I suspect they don't include the spacers as standard because the majority of cars either have the Comfort Kit fitted already, or have the later uprights (post 2014 chassis) so don't need it. Therefore, I would contact Krazy Horse and ask them whether the comfort kit components can be included with your Empire Kit because you have an unmodified early chassis.

You will need one of these Morgan kits:
[Linked Image]
...probably the 'first generation' one. Remember that the conical spacer (item 4) goes ABOVE the rose joint, NOT below it as shown in the diagrams!

@ bunny - I already contacted Krazy Horse ... I will put the answer into this topic - I think it could be helpful for other 3W owners too!
