Loose exhaust
Has anyone had this before?
Always had a strange rattle in the exhaust of Matt-Mog our 2014 +4. I thought a leftover piece of welding wire, couldn't see anything wrong on the outside of the exhaust.
But recently the sound got duller. Especially at idle. So check it again. And yes broken bracket.
A quick provisional repair was necessary. Under the workbench I found something that with a small adjustment could serve as a temporary solution.
In the second photo you can see that on the left side the fracture is stil fresh, no rust.
The other side must have been broken long ago. There from the rattle?
Let's see if Belmog can provide this support? Otherwise DIY I assume???

How does that bracket unbolt? Are the fixings going into captive nuts on the chassis or do you somehow have to get a spanner on the other side? Captives on the inside!

How does that bracket unbolt? Are the fixings going into captive nuts on the chassis or do you somehow have to get a spanner on the other side? There is a plate fitted from inside that has two studs welded to it, so yes captive but studs not nuts. I looked into moving mine when I needed to fit Aero side pipes with shorter silencers. Difficult to access though given trim, seat belt anchor etc. Note to OP. There is plenty of adjustment with factory setup both vertically and laterally so no need for any tention when re-assembling with new bracket MXC0220, when you can get hold of one. Would suggest, as others have, taking the opportunity to fit stainless bobbins though, also available via SiFab.

Installed new exhaust bracket, was not a straightforward job. https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/08/20/DSCI0419.md.jpgWith the bracket in lowest there was no room for the rubber bobbins. https://www.tm-img.com/image/3elqwEverything had to come loose, including the U bolt and the bracket at the back. Then jacked up the exhaust a bit to get everything straight. Lower the rear bracket a bit and then it worked. https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/08/20/DSCI0423.md.jpgEverything reassembled but not tight. Will see the next few days if thing needs to be adjusted. On the (test) drive to the circuit everything sounded normal. BTW Is there a way to add photos directly in a reply to a gallery? Can only find this way to do it.
