Thanks for posting. Interesting that these were mostly P101 cars, but there was one final teal color car in there.

Thanks for posting, nice bit of nostalgia. Like the shot of the 4 wheel car driving past as if to say "you can still buy one of these".

The “teal” one is mine. Ordered in November but spec not confirmed until March (approx). I’ve just heard she’s finished and awaiting dealer delivery. From the photos I’ve seen this video looks to have been filmed in June and July so quite a time for the editing and upload

Lovely fitting tribute to this beautiful creation

Has anyone built a working radio-controlled model of a M3W ? In the early-1980's I had a 20cc V-twin 4-stroke engine for which I built a 1/4-scale 1912 Blackburn Monoplane. I lacked (and still do) the engineering skills to convert for a R/C model car use.

Thanks but no, I didn't build the engine. It was made by Hubert Schillings in Germany, I had examples of his single-cylinder (which I still have), flat-twin, as well as the V-twin variant. The engines were originally developed for a fuel efficiency competition in the Netherlands (sponsored by Shell as I recall), where his single-cylinder powered a moped. My model was first test-flown by Tom Airey (of Airey Tuning) at Old Warden in Bedfordshire, it flew well for several years. The model and engine went on display at Brooklands during 1987, sadly sustaining damage during the Great Storm when a skylight was blown in and shards of glass punctured the fabric covering of the wings. I later sold it to a museum somewhere in Scandinavia.
