According to the handbook:
5.8 litres incl filter (approx)
SAE5W30 semi synthetic
SAEW40 fully synthetic
SAE5W40 mineral oil

Hi Carl 44,

Let me be the first to welcome you to the forum, I’m sure you will find it a great source of info together with a few laughs.

Over the years Ford slightly changed oil recommendations to suit engines, probably emissions and mpg figure related.

Following my own look at oils a long, long time ago I have always used Castrol Magnatec 5W30 fully synthetic. It meets Ford requirements and has always been a really good price at Costco, presently about £22 for 4 litres.

Assuming MMC didn’t change items during the production run then your sump is as mine, a propriety item. The sump plug will look like a shouldered bolt and is an M12 X 1.75 X 21mm with a hex head. Mine had/has a dowty/ bonded washer. Don’t overtighten! They can be reused many times but if in doubt replace cos they are only pennies. Interestingly, MMC have no record of ever using these!

Definitely 5.8 litres fill and if you slightly raise the front nearside it will help drain that extra dreg!

Hope this helps

Regards

Geof
