Richard, another tip is that the header tank should not be filled above half (when cold) as the expansion when running hot was putting undue pressure on the system as the cap doesn't vent quite like old style rad caps

Apparently this was learnt late this year when running the Plus Four race cars

That's what my dealer said.
The welding of the fans would be weakened by the heat given off by the welding of the tube.

Lets hope the Ford engined new CX won't be similarly affected.

?? the new Ford engined CX?? Did I miss something?

Thanks Richard.
I knew the three wheeler is getting the three pot Ford motor, non-turbo apparently, but didn't know it was CX based. Presumably just the front end?

I can only see this as being a big car John using that chassis and my understanding is that from the excellent gearbox onwards it is a similar drivetrain to the M3W, happy to be corrected on that.

Had they have kept the Ford FWD I would seriously have considered one once the beta testing was out of the way.

Big car?...
I am assuming that the new M3W will not share the exact same chassis as the plus 4 and plus 6, but will be much smaller. Bear in mind that the CX designation was applied to the new type of aluminium construction to recognise Morgan’s 110 years in business. I would guess any size of Morgan chassis designed on similar principles and made from bonded aluminium would fall under the generic umbrella of “CX”.

I'm looking forward to seeing one in the metal sans dazzle paint job, I guess it will break cover in the New Year around what would have been GMS time.
