Good morning,
I am looking for advice regarding tyre rotation including the spare wheel, wire wheeled 1997 Plus 4 T16. To create even wear on all 5 tyres, avoiding the spare reaching an age where it has done no miles and has reached old age, I was wondering if there was an order of movement. I tried searching the forums but could not find any advice. What is the accepted rotation pattern please?
Supplemental question: Whilst the wheels are being rotated, should I change the" hammered on to the outside rim" balance weights for the stick on variety applied to the inside rear of the rims?
Thanks in anticipation Alistair

Just Google tire rotation sequence with spare. and be aware that the pattern is different for front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive.

Was rotating my rear tyres with spare starting at 5,000 then 10,000 miles until punctures messed up the system. Last time I checked all five I just put the one with marginally least tread in spare location.

While m/cycles tyres tend to have tyre treads designed to rotate in one direction only, that is not so much the case with car tyres though in the cases of the more sporty type of tyre there tends to be a easily spotted arrow determining the direction of rotation. I suspect the M3W may use m/cycle tyres..

You need to change them every 6 years or so. I have never had a tyre were out on a Mog & I do 6 to 8k p.a. Leave them as they are.
