In the meantime I was able to tape the bracket into position to keep on driving for a while.... I have been following your saga, even though I have no experience of 3-wheelers. That statement fills me with sadness for the demise of customer service. For god's sake somebody from MMC must read these comments, so just do something ! If you don't, the proud history of Morgan and the future of the brand look, at best, seriously compromised. Thanks very much, Peter. There's still time for a positive outcome, and that's what I'm hoping for. I mean it's a pretty straightforward thing. Doesn't make any sense.

For god's sake somebody from MMC must read these comments, so just do something ! I've heard it alluded to in the past that there are a few from the company that occasionally look at the forum (not including the fabulous tour guides ), but in the four years I've been a member, I don't recall seeing any form of official input here. To be honest it doesn't surprise me - it's just a privately owned forum used by enthusiasts of the Morgan marque - it's not even linked to the MSCC in any official format. Fairly usual practice - I used to be senior admin/moderator on a large Land Rover forum with over 100,000 members, but we never had any input or contact from Land Rover themselves. Oh they look at it alright, but don't post much after this little exchange.... Mark Evans and "wirewheel"

After reading some of that exchange, I can understand if they didn't bother posting. However, looking at 'Wirewheels' profile, they continued to post regularly for another two years, but haven't logged in since Sept 2021. Where they on the board, or a shop floor worker/owner?

Mark Evans seems to be a bit more of a 'bigwig' at Morgan - Aero Racing Manager. He still seems to view the forum (although not since July 22) but the cracked chassis was his last posting.

Wirewheel (Scottish I think) is a nice polite chap whom several of us met during a TM outing to Haynes several years ago now, subsequently also met up on a TM tour at the factory that he was doing. I have no idea if he is still a tour guide at MMC or even if he still has a Morgan. I totally understand his withdrawing from TM after some of the vitriol that took place historically as he was a tour guide not the CEO

Someone was nice enough to send me a list of contacts at the factory. I might link to this thread when I write them later today or tomorrow. Surely they can't be comfortable with one of their US dealers ghosting customers with basic warranty issues, especially when there are no alternatives. Morgan isn't perfect, but I don't want to believe they set out to defraud anyone.
In hindsight I shouldn't have been so quick to accept the dealer's reassurances when they hadn't been entirely honest from the start. I have a warranty with Morgan's name on it, so one way or another the car will be fixed "to my satisfaction." Why does it have to be such a drag?

Luca. we are all hoping you get some action from your dealer by making MMC aware of the problem, what a miserable introduction to the brand you have had.

Luca. we are all hoping you get some action from your dealer by making MMC aware of the problem, what a miserable introduction to the brand you have had. Thank you, Richard. It means a lot to me that this community has taken such a sincere interest in my problem and been so supportive. There is a real sense of heritage, camaraderie, friendship, and enthusiasm here. I'm happy to be a part of it. I still love my car and the idea of a Morgan. The relatively minor problems can be fixed and I'll forget about them, no one died. What will be harder to forget is the appalling apathy, disrespect, dishonesty, and negligence of the people who sold it to me, not to mention the potential fraud involved. I hope the factory intervenes forcefully because I would honestly love to get it resolved amicably and remain a Morgan customer. I don't understand why something so straightforward has to become such a big deal.
