Hi all,

I'm interested to see your fog/spot/driving light mounting brackets, I'm studying options to achieve the 'floating over the wing' effect like this....

Also seen on the new CX platform cars like this...

If anyone can point me to the brackets I need, I'd also be very grateful thumbs

This Wipac driving lamp bracket kit from Williams Morgan are my favourite option so far, not cheap but they look like quality stainless steel items thinking

But will they work with my Marchals?

I was warned by Richard Thorne that you may get slight movement with any attachment to the wing as apposed to being attached to a bumper support.

Agreed, that's a fair bit of weight jiggling around on a bracket bolted to thin aluminium, I made brackets that fitted to the main chassis to bumper bolts which were much more stable on todays potholes roads

I also made stainless steel L shaped brackets to fit on the bumper mounts. I actually had 5 sets made in case anyone wanted a pair. I haven’t a clue how to add a picture.
Sorry B

Dam, that’s now put me off having spot lights

I have Cibie Oscars mounted with those Wipac brackets. No problems.

I’ve got foglights mounted with brackets onto the wings. Apparently from new 22 years ago. No problems with wing damage. Never had to touch them as always stable. No loosening of bolts.

I had pretty much the same comment from Richard Thorne. For this reason I decided not to fit spotlights as it sounds potentially problematic. But plenty of cars have them so there must be a way to do it.

Instead of fog/spot lights I fitted replacement LED headlight units, no need for extra lights now.

Couple of cibies spots mounted on the bumper mountings, you can see for f***ing miles.
the morgan fog lamps it makes very little difference to the vision at night or in the fog.
I have a couple of morgan lamps under my bench if anyone wants them.
