Somewhere I've been saying for a long time I should visit. I do like the M33 gunboat smile

Well worth it Graham. You can get an Explorer ticket which gets you entry to everything including the Submarine Museum and the Naval Gunnery Museum. Just don't make the mistake that we did - these 2 aren't open on Mondays or Tuesdays. We went round Warrior, M.33, and Mary Rose and that took nearly 6 hours so there's more than a single day's worth anyway.

Sole custody of Leo the long legged Lhasa today so combined his walk with a pub lunch. Morton needed a run to check out repair to front suspension (as if I needed an excuse) so first stop was the Nature Park at East Wretham, site of one of Norfolks many WW2 airfields although nature has taken over now.

Then on to the Checkers Inn in the remote tiny village of Thompson.

Having been a few times before I knew they did a mixed filling three egg omelette and chips to die for. Was not disappointed on this occasion either.

Great day out and the car is back up to scratch as well smile

Glad to hear it Richard. Leo looks imperial as always as he lets you drive him around.

Early start to Allon Whites to get the rear half shaft oil seal fixed & new hard chrome king pins. etc. Roughly 100 miles and from Cambridge it was like the end of the world at 7 am with thunder lightening & torrential rain. I had put the hood up last night thank god.

Had a tour of the new very impressive trim shop and workshop at AWs. Then home in a loaner. Hopefully Belle will be fixed by Friday pm.

Richard, love the pics of the dog in the Morgan. Mine have yet to go for a ride but will at some point. I like the extra upholstered bolster (?) at the top of your side screens. I have thoughts about fabricating some for my 05 Roadster, but am interested in how they are connected to the side screens and what your thoughts on benefits. Should I do it??

Cheers,
Mark (Florida, USA)

Thanks for kind comments Mark. The sidescreen fill in with padded leather against a thin aluminium base is a popular upgrade over here. The factory have followed suit on the new CX cars. Allon White a Morgan dealer with trim shop handles many of the upgrades on the Classics.

Better view here.

They are made to measure and fix with the screws you can see. I'm guessing they are card covered by leather. They seal the gap between the door and the sidescreen stopping noise and droughts.

If you need more detailed photos let me know.
