Being promoted to your level of incompetence is abundant in the Civil Service and Whitehall. I aspire to that, probably happened years ago but no one told me.

He probably has a MBA and has been on lots of training courses.
He has never founded, grown and then sold a business.
My experience is that leadership demonstrated in the armed forces doesn't always work in the commercial world.
Time will tell, but this phrase worries me: ""orchestrates the delivery of over 1000 bespoke global roles"".

That sounds full of soundbites and PC buzzwords. It worries me. I remember being on a course and one attendee started speaking like that. My bulls**t warning alarm triggered. I replied in Welsh. Another attendee thanked me for translating the previous bulls**t. There was a mix of smiles and frowns from others. It helped ID the worrying ones.

I am with Peter on this regarding ex military types, with the possible exception of a couple of Navy guys they should have stuck to Government work .

Maybe he was made redundant & Bentley paid for a CV coach.
When Reckitt Benkiser made me redundant I did one of those courses in Marlow.
The resulting CV I felt was so full of BS I binned it & guess what got a real job. Maybe not at a better salary but I was happy.
