I've only just had a look at the video, It is impressive....!
No one had a beard or a bald head and no one had a flying jacket on. I'm not sure I've seen many Morgan owners without at least one of those 3 things!!

I am totally torn. Morgan are moving (have moved) so far away from all the reasons I love them/the cars/the history, but, begrudgingly I'm starting to like it......

I am beginning to see the 'vision', I just really hope that there is a big enough market for it, as they're ditching most of the old (trad) customer base.

As has been said many times, Morgan are now very expensive toys, entry level with 3 wheels at Β£42k with no spec at all, Β£50k with some bits.
They have to do MY updates I suppose, as they're now aspiring to be real car manufacturers. It's ironic that in the past, a decade or more could go by with no discernible changes whatsoever.....πŸ˜†

The dashboard looks a bit boring!!

I had a look through the downloadable price list.
WOW....
Easy to get a Plus 4 with a roof above Β£100k.
Here are the prices..

https://www.morgan-motor.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Plus-Line-Price-List-2023-005.pdf

Very select clientele will be needed, I hope the dealers are up to it.

Some aspects of the MY23 cars I do like, I have to admit, just not the pricing.

As someone who just bought one of the last MY22s, I agree. Some nice touches and obviously investment in safety elements, but my spec was at least Β£10k up on what I paid. Ouch!

Still I wish them well as the consequences of MMC pushing beyond the viable commercial zone are bad for all of us.

WOW, OMG and F*ck.............

The sports car market must be pretty small, and out of that pretty small market, the people who want Morgans must be very small. Out of that very small number of people in the pretty small group, those with Β£100k to spaff must be........??πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

There are currently 43 Plus Fours for sale in the dealer network, including a few ex demo cars at the factory and some (still) unsold 2021 cars.

I love the phrase "pushing beyond the viable commercial zone", I don't think we'll have to wait too long to see the consequences.

The film was spot on in my opinion. Very stylish. Just how driving a Morgan should be portrayed to attract buyers of the new models. Romantic undertones, coolness, being different, driving for pleasure in your Morgan.

Morgan aren’t going to do an advertising film of an old wooden shed, a Morgan on axle jacks, a bloke in a blue boiler suit, with his wife greasing it before going for a drive around Goole docks with a tartan steel flask.

We shall see. The promos all show a more professional marketing approach and I assume an attempt to appeal to new segments of the market. Interesting timing though with a recession and big shift in the mass market to EV. Maybe they are hoping that 11% inflation rate is seen as the cause of the increases - or is a mask for them?

I am quite new to the Morgan brand.
In my opinion, and what I saw last week during the company tour, Morgen has no other option than to work in the exclusive market segments. A low-priced car today only goes through unit numbers. I can't imagine that with Morgen.
The future will show whether it will be possible to find 800 to 1,200 buyers for such exclusive but not perfect cars.
I was told in Malvern that the safety systems that were included in MY 2023 were made to re-enter the US market. This is certainly another reason, besides inflation, why prices have risen so much.

Clemens, thanks for sharing. Interesting to see images of real cars to get a better perspective on the dash and interior. Think the headrests look sleeker although not so sure about the white (or is it ivory?) leather interior. Also think the wooden lower bar on the dash is a bit underwhelming despite the colour contrast. Look forward to seeing one in the flesh.
