Calling ProfessorM. I talked to Malvern on Friday 13th and told them of my steering woes on the Super 3 and told them that if they looked on Talk Morgan they would find others out there who are having problems. The chap promised I would hear back from him which I did when he said they had received 2 or 3 other complaints. I haven’t heard any more from him. How did you get to have your car returned to Malvern?

Hi Graeme
My car was returned to the factory Wed/Thurs so might have been worked on yesterday or maybe won't be looked at until Monday/Tuesday of next week. I have not had an update/diagnosis from the factory yet. With BarkBark reporting that his came back feeling much better (and cured of the belt squeal too) I have hopes that mine too will return transformed. If it does not, I am not sure what to do next as the car is bordering on dangerous about 55mph - a view shared by the dealer who test drove it and the mechanic who also took it out (the mechanic was deliberately not told about the steering/handling so he gave an unbiased opinion) He returned saying the car was almost uncontrollable at higher speeds.
The more I think about it, the more angry I am getting with Morgan for allowing a car to leave the factory in an unsafe state... I don't blame the dealer as they (given the weather when my car was delivered to them) could not test the car at higher speeds and trusted that the basic geometry was set correctly by the factory.
A good learning point for all other Super 3 owners collecting their cars - get the car up to 50 to 70 mph in your first drive. If it feels like it's going to swap ends and needs both hands tightly gripping the wheel just to keep it from randomly lurching left/right in a straight line then you too are a victim of the factory releasing unsafe products.

Sorry Graeme - didn't read your question properly!
I used the Morgan breakdown recovery service that you get with the car.
They were brilliant and arranged a covered lorry to collect the car. They took it to my dealer 150 miles away. Once the dealer established that they could not fix the two biggest issues (terrifying handling and high-pitched howl coming from the fuel system) they drove in their transporter down to Malvern and dropped it at the factory.

hi. Other than the squealing, mine was fine - brakes, handling etc. were all good prior to it being looked at. The item fixed was the squealing which was due to a misaligned belt drive. I'll be posting a link to a long video later today which was taken whilst driving my Super 3 at varying speeds on different roads yesterday.

Sorry BarkBark - got mixed up and thought you had steering woes too! Glad to hear you avoided that little issue as it is quite an eye-opener! ;-) Looking forward to more of your excellent videos!

Another video from the Cotswolds. It's a lot longer, has a PoV perspective and varying speeds / roads.

BarkBark - Nice. Looks bracing though. Just popped this afternoon in my PlusFour and still very frozen parts and freezing fog in anothers.

I Posted a quick AI 360 edit in the CX forum from Sunday in when it was nice and clear (but still pretty cold). From a loop from Cirencester, Burford, Stow and back to Ciren.

@DWil23; that's a nice loop. I'm just up the road from you, south of Bourton on the Water.

This all sounds 2013 not 2023, problems with handling, quality control, noisy bevel boxes, squeaky drive belts with bad alignment. Owners delighted with driving their new car but things not quite right for an expensive toy and it going back to dealers to try and sort. All very familiar to any M3W owner ten years ago.
